My story

It started with one push-up

01 The quiet kid

In school, I was the skinny one. The kid who kept his head down, said as little as possible and hoped nobody would notice him.

They noticed anyway. I got picked on for how I looked and for how quiet I was. The worst part wasn't what they said. It was how much of it I started to believe.

02 The first rep

I didn't have a plan. No gym, no coach, no one telling me what to do. I just started doing push-ups at home. Then pull-ups. Then a few more the next day, and the day after that.

For a long time, nothing seemed to change. Then one day, it did. My shirts started fitting differently. I could see muscle where there wasn't any before. The changes were small, but they were real. For the first time, I felt in control of something.

03 Through the doors

That was enough to get me into a gym. I walked in feeling out of place, surrounded by people who looked like they belonged there more than I did. I kept showing up anyway.

The muscle came slowly. What came with it surprised me more.

04 More than muscle

Somewhere along the way, I stopped shrinking.

The muscle was the part people could see. What changed inside was bigger. I had more energy. I slept better. My head felt clearer. I stood taller without thinking about it. Conversations got easier, and walking into a room full of people felt completely different.

There's a feeling that comes with being strong and healthy. It's quiet. You don't need to prove anything to anyone. You just know what you've built.

People noticed too. Over the years, even the people who used to pick on me started coming to me for advice on how to train. I won't pretend that didn't feel good. But what stayed with me wasn't proving anyone wrong. It was realising how much one small decision had changed everything that came after it.

05 Why I coach

Fourteen years later, training is still the most consistent part of my life. Along the way, I studied nutrition and coaching so I could understand the why behind what works, not just the what.

Now I want to give other people what training gave me: not just a better body, but the energy, health and confidence that come with it.

So far I've coached 15 clients, aged 19 and up, from complete beginners to people who've trained for years. Each of them came in with a different goal, a different schedule and a different starting point. Every one of them reminds me why I started.

Wherever you're starting from, and whatever your age, we'll build it together. One day at a time.
